Axie Builds
Every Axie has 4 out of over 130 different abilities. Which means that there are plenty of different Axies, but some of them perform better than others.
If you don't know which Axies you need, this guide can give you some ideas about how to build your ideal Axie. Most of the following builds are suggestions for two of four abilities to form a solid base for your dream Axie.
But keep in mind that the best Axie can't win a battle by itself, if it doesn't synergise with the rest of your team.

Bruiser PvE
The Bruiser is a damage dealer who can survive a few bigger hits, in other words an off-tank.
The idea is to take some abilities with balanced shield and attack stats, like Merry Legion (part: Merry) and Shipwreck (part: Sponge). You should look for at least 45 HP to beef this Axie up.
Stat priority
HP > Skill > Speed > Morale
Dual Blade Beast PvE
With this Beast you want to aim for a high morale, to ensure that Sinister Strike (part: Dual Blade) will crit as often as possible. Additionally the ability Scarab Curse (part: Scarab) will make your life easier on self-healing bosses.
This build shines on high level Axies because the scaling of the morale will make your Axie crit very often in PvE.
Stat priority
Morale > Speed > Skill > HP
Debuff Support PvE
If you already own a good tank, you might consider getting a Support Axie like this one.
A healing ability like Sweet Party (part: Strawberry Shortcake) combined with a debuff card, for example Balloon Pop (part: Balloon), can help your tank survive in dangerous situations.
Stat priority
Speed > HP > Skill > Morale
Poison Tank PvEPvP
This tank is rather PvE oriented and tries to drain your enemies life over time.
The ability Gas Unleash (part: Yam) can easily build up a couple of Poison stacks on your enemies if you time it right. High armor skills like October Treat (part: Pumpkin) combined with at least a base of 55 HP will help your Axie survive tougher hits. Additional self-heal or a support Axie can perform miracles.
Stat priority
HP > Speed > Skill > Morale
Pure DD PvEPvP
A Pure Damage Dealer focuses on high damage attacks and can be used in PvP as well as PvE.
The main task of this Axie is to deal a lot of burst damage in one round to break through shields in order to deafeat his enemies. It is a good idea to pick an Axie who has the same class as his skills to get the 15% damage boost, for example a Bird Axie with: Blackmail (part: Pigeon Post), Eggbomb (part: Eggshell) and Early Bird (part: Swallow). In the arena you want a high amount of speed.
Stat priority
Speed > Skill > Morale > HP
RIMP Beast PvEPvP
"RIMP" stands for "Ronin" and "Imp", the signature parts of this build.
Both parts enable a powerful combo which turns this Axie into an energy power house. Imp unlocks the skill Ivory Stab, which returns 1 energy whenever one of your Axies scores a critical hit in the same round. In combination with the ability Single Combat (part: Ronin) and another card, you can deal a bunch of damage AND recover a lot of energy.
Stat priority
Morale > Speed > Skill > HP
Backdoor Bird PvP
This build is aiming to remove potential threats in the enemy back-line.
The part Little Owl unlocks the skill Dark Swoop, which should always be your opener, because it allows you to attack the fastest enemy. Most tanks sacrifice a lot of Speed for high HP, which means you can skip them easily with Dark Swoop. Comboed with high Attack abilites, for example Eggbomb (part: Eggshell), you should have no trouble to take down glass cannons in the enemy back-line. Try to aim for a Speed stat as high as possible.
Stat priority
Speed > Skill > Morale > HP
Sticky Tank PvP
The Sticky Tank tries to withstand and disturb burst combos in the arena.
With the ability Sticky Goo (part: Snail Shell), your tank is able to stop a combo by just defending. If your shield breaks, the attacker gets stunned and his next attack misses. Carrot hammer (part: Carrot) adds more shield for free, if the shield breaks. With this build youl should aim to get at least 55 HP.
Stat priority
HP > Speed > Skill > Morale
Idle Exploiter PvP
As the name says, this build centers around dealing high damage to idle targets.
The ability Spinal Tap (part: Perch) allows you to target idle enemies when comboed with Shell Jab (part: Babylonia) and an additional hard hitting card. The big advantage in attacking idle targets is, that you don't have to deal with shields which makes it a lot easier to knock your enemies out. A downside of this build is, that you have to time your attacks carefully, because you don't want to attack the enemy tank by mistake.
Stat priority
Speed > Skill > Morale > HP
Thorny Turtle PvP
This build centers around the ability Allergic Reaction (part: Thorny Caterpillar) which deals 130% damage against debuffed targets. The combo with Chomp (part: Tiny Trutle) and another card, allows you to ignore your opponents defense and to trigger the damage bonus of Allergic Reaction. 0 energy skills which cause another debuff, for example Mystic Rush (part: Laggin), can round this build up. Other debuff generating Axies in your team will improve the effectiveness of this build as well.
